Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the frequently asked questions we receive, due in part to some third part tracers running scams to sell their 'package'. Although we will sell you information on becoming a true third party tracer, we will NEVER call you trying to sell our 'package'. For more information on this please email Sales@casa-investments.com

Q: I just received a call on my cell phone today saying that I could process government FHA refunds….get the package for only $69.00. is this a scam?
A: The Department of Housing and Urban Development, or HUD, is warning consumers about two separate offers that are going around.

One is a work-at-home offer to become a “Refund Tracer.”  Consumers report getting job offer postcards in the mail from companies boasting high starting pay and benefits to process government insurance FHA refund notices.

On its Web site, HUD reminds consumers that the Department does not have a financial relationship with third party tracers nor does HUD authorize disclosure of a homeowner’s information other than that which is available under the Freedom of Information Act.

Q: Do I have to use you, or another tracer, to get my refund?
A: Absolutely not, in fact you can go to the HUD web site to see if you are due a refund. The problem with this is HUD does not try to locate refunds more than 2 years old. This is where we come in. Our service is for older loans.

Q: Do you charge a fee? I have heard this can be a scam
A: Yes, we charge a fee, 20% of loan refund amount. These fees cover our administrative expenses such as office expenses, purchasing lists, mailings, etc. Remember we are locating people who usually don' know or have forgotten they have a refund coming. Most lenders do a very poor job of locating and notifying buyers.

Q: This sounds like a real opportunity to work from home, Can I purchase information on becoming a Tracer from you?
A: Yes, our price is $39.00. Keep in mind this charge is not refundable because we have no way of knowing if it has been copied. We are in the processing of developing an application to help you keep track of individuals you are contacting, produce appropriate letters, etc. We will include this application, at no additional charge. For more information on this please visit our Promotions page.

Q: Are you affiliated with HUD or FHA?
A: No, On its Web site, HUD reminds consumers that the Department does not have a financial relationship with third party tracers nor does HUD authorize disclosure of a homeowner’s information other than that which is available under the Freedom of Information Act.
